Dungeons&Dragons... ugh (warning, spoilers within)

Okay, I saw the Dungeons and Dragons movie today. A post I read earlier this morning said it would be similar to Star Wars and Indy. If by similar, they meant directly ripping off repeatedly, then they were right. Oy. For instance, the fight with a big giant strong guy. It had no purpose in D&D whatsoever. Some big giant guy just appeared for a brief fight. And then there was the "maze" in the Thieves Guild, where every single trap had a basis in an Indy movie, and at the end, when he approached the ruby on the podium, I swear the shot was set up EXACTLY like Indy going for the Idol. And there were more, so many more. And Star Wars, too. I wouldn't mind if it was an occasional reference or something, but the sheer amount really really irritated me. I won't even mention the horrid acting...
