: Okay, from what I can tell, the majority of us Indy fans here at the forum are guys, unless you have a female identity. I am male, and I absolutely admire Indy because he's the most human action hero I've ever seen. I also admire almost movie that Harrison Ford does, though I'm not gay (got a girlfriend). He's just a darn good actor. Any other guys out there that want to make themselves known and state their reasons? If you just like him the same way I do, that's cool. If your gay, that's cool. I'm not here to persecute people, so feel free to say whatever - criticism for this post welcome-it was just a thought. Ladies, feel free to answer too.

Indeed, I am...Female! Well, my appreciation of Indy goes back to
when I was about 10 or so and saw Raiders on video. It positively
scared me. I was, and to an extent still am, a bit of a tomboy,
though I love the company of men.

And then I saw Temple of Doom, and that just got me hooked--it was
extreme Indy and not nearly as frightening (perhaps I was older).
I bought a poster and book (my first Indy/memorabilia items) and
hounded my mom to take me to a Thrifty's out in the sticks where they
sold the Temple of Doom Lunchbox (there were shelves of 'em).
I loved that lunchbox, too bad I didn't take better care of it.

In any rate, my Indy collection is aprox 200 items. I must say that
I don't really know of any other girls out there who collect Indy as
much as me; nor do I know of other girls who are into the films as
much as I. So why did I get hooked on Indy? I would have to think
the adventure is what it's all about. I never really cared much
for the romance in them; but the action!

And of course Indy himself--here is a hero who is human, realistic,
flawed and downright handsome. There are but a few faces that match
Ford's. We'll be talking about him like they talk about Grant in
the years to come.

Indy speaks to me like few films do and will always have a special
place in my heart.

Regards, Andrea
