What are you talking about? ive seen the PS2 play DVD's and it's not crappy,it's not the best,it's a decent,good DVD player(hey you paid 300.00 for a console that plays Playstation,Playstation 2 games and DVD movies,you get what you paid for IMHO.). It's not crap,it's GOOD.

I heard in Europe Sega offered a DreamCast with one of the worst DVD players on the market for $300.00 and it didn't sell well so they cancelled it because they would've kept losing money.
