Thought I'd throw this out: anyone see "The Southern Star" (ca. 1960s), starring George Segal, Ursula Andress, and Orson Welles (!)?
Set in mid-20th century southern Africa, filmed in Zimbabwe (I believe); story concerns the search by principals for a fabulous! diamond!, and is sorta campy, sorta 1960s-ish blythe action dramady...
Light as a feather, and with a frilly score to boot.
Sort of Indy-esque, in "that" way: they ponce about wearing Aussie-type fedoras with leopard-print bands, you know.
Think "King Solomon's Mines" produced by some jet-set Italian college students who ride Vespas and drink Asti...
