But "Raiders" is supernatural!

If in fact the screenplay he is writing for Indy IV turns out to be the one they use for the film, I can't WAIT to see what he come up with.
You're forgetting one thing - the best film of the trilogy IMHO is "Raiders" and it had a MASSIVE supernatural component - there were ghost's flying around at the end!!!
Another thing to consider is that the characters in "Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable" were original creation, not an established character like Indy - there's obviously things Shyamalan can't do to the character.
I look forward to it because he's a fan; he's stated on several occassions that one of his inspirations to become a filmmaker was "Raiders...." I think he's smart and talented and is he wasn't up to the challenge, Spielberg & Lucas wouldn't have asked him on board.
Just my 6 cents though...
