N64- Can someone please help me?

All right, I'm sure you guys are at a much further level than I am, but I have to ask. In the Babylon level, after you hit the switch and kill those two guards, which way do u go in that water area? It's really confusing, and I have to return the game to Blockbuster tomorrow. Can someone help?
