Bag Distressing.....

Hello all!

I just got my first MkVII Indy bag the other day, but the coloration of it is just a little too "green" for me. Does anyone else have/have had this problem, and how can one make the color of the bag change a little bit (I'd like it a little more khaki colored) without wearing out the fabric with repeated washings in the washing machine?

PS...Can I get some comments on the SIZE of the bag? I mean, I have an old US Army WWII bag and it is a good bit larger than the MkVII I got...it just seems smaller than I thought it was....anyone know what I'm talking about or am I just being the overly anal person I tend to be;-)?
