The height of the shoulder panel on the expedition is correct in proportion to the length of the jacket - being consistant with the original. Remember - Ford has a short torso, so the absolute measurement will be affected. It is also designed to ride slightly high across the shoulderblade, so as to properly function. That was really the goal with the Expedition - build a jacket with the proper proportions across sizes that would be accurate to the original jacket examined. Easier said than done? Well, maybe...

On the Wested? Well, I've given up on making comparisons of one person's Wested vs another's. The one thing consistant with the Wested is it's inconsistancy. Just when you think you have some aspect of the Wested nailed down by examining several jackets, another shows up with something different. Personally, I think its because Wested outsources construction to cottage-type workers. IMHO
