: Has Flight Suits started to fix this problem? Or is it still considered a "special order" to want a jacket with sleeves that don't end at the body of the jacket?

: Austin Powers

: P.S. I'm guessing you, being the Flight Suits Guru, have had the opportunity to examine, fondle, distress all the leathers that they offer this coat in. So what would be the best choice? I heard someone say "Chrome-tanned" Goatskin was good. I was wondering if their lambskin would have the "squeakiness" of the Wested lambskin that was discussed a while back. Which leather has the right coloring, grain, strength, and "distressability" that would best match the movie jackets?

On the "off the rack" versions, they use whatever is standard by size. Not being evasive, just don't have a better answer.

On the leathers? Well, my wife has the lambskin, and I've not heard any squeaks - though I do know what you're talking about with the Wested. I traded my Wested lambskin last summer, and the person who took it off my hands had it taken apart for some reason. He said the reason for the noisiness of the jacket became apparent. Seems whoever put it together used something other than the regular fabric backing on the stress points? He called me up to say he was looking at the London Times glued to the back of the lambskin. Mabe I was just lucky?

The lambskin is the most accurate in color and drape. I do like their goatskin, but it takes a lot to distress it. The deerskin is really nice, but again, it will not distress like the lamb.

Hope this helps - cheers!
