I think the costume designers who worked on the film would have been the people who were really nit-picking the details. But the fact that the Fedora is different in the other two movies makes one wonder how important the exact dimensions were, and how much it was just a result of what was available. I also find it interesting that when looking at pictures of the actual hat by itself, it really does not seem that remarkable. Obviously, the swagger that Ford brought to the role goes a long way in defining how we see the costume. I agree the Peter Bros hat looks nice, and when I can save some extra cash, I think I will order one too.
