Be especially careful not to inhale the fumes (the fire danger has been mentioned already) as they will damage the nervous system. Also, skin contact is really bad. Acetone evaporates rapidly and will dry skin on contact like you wouldn't believe it! It has also the nasty habit to penetrate skin somewhat - which is really unhealthy. WEAR chemically resistant gloves when working with acetone, and don't get it in your eyes (goggles!).
