The look is different to your eye because the back of the shoe is contoured to the heel. It looks *just like your foot*. Many, if not most boots are more vertical.

As for the size, I'd say that's your fault. I've said this a zillion times, but it's worth repeating. For proper fit, HAVE YOUR FEET MEASURED.

These are one item that are truly, truly functional and as orthopedically designed, can be incredibly comfortable and good for your feet.

If you mean to wear them every day, then proper fit is not an option.

I guess if you'll put them in the closet until Halloween rolls around, then save your money.

For daily wear, these things are *awesome* folks.
