Criminals, during the 30's through the 50's, always knew who the cops were, as cops NEVER removed their hats (besides the press), as they claimed they had to keep their hands empty at all times in case an arrest may take place. The "bad guys" just watched who DIDN'T remove their hats, and when spotted, they just walked out another exit! Proper etiquette sometimes works against you. (grins) Regards. Michaelson
