I kinda went on a "cash flow permitting" basis. Acctually, the first thing I got was my Mark Allen whip. There are so many choices now for hats and jackets, these things take some time and research to determine what's right for you. While you're pondering the bigger items fill in with smaller ones. The bag was a good place to start due to the dimimishing availability. Just stick with Indy Gear.com and the forum. They're great tools to steer yourself in the right direction. Fedora is our hat expert, Patterson is on jackets and on drums... just kidding. The rest of us know enough to get on fine. Between all of us you can get first hand experiences on just about everything available.
