Sleeve length on jacket

I know this subject has been discussed before, but I couldn't find the thread in my quick glance through the Forum archives.

How low should the sleeves on the Wested Jacket reach? I haven't had mine on at all this summer-except for trying it on when it arrived a couple of months ago. However, I just tried it on in anticipation of cool weather finally arriving.

The sleeves seem longer than other jackets I own- they reach down to the topmost knuckle on my fingers. When my arms are hanging straight down, my thumbs almost disappear.

Is this the common fit that others have observed?
