Hi,

I can't quite remember who posted this, MK or MF, but one of you
mentioned moving the ribbon up in the front to make your hat
look closer to tyhe Cairo hat before.

Well, in spending endless hours trying to get the brim on my hat
correct, I came up with a solution that is similar to this comment.
This will be hartd to describe but if anyone has questions, reply
to this post. What I did is wet the front of the brim so I could
shape it more easily, then actually bent it upwards about 1/8-1/4
inch UNDER the natural bottom of the ribbon in the front. Then, I
took the natural crease in the front at the bottom of the ribbon
and bent it back DOWN. It ends up looking like the crown in the
front of the hat continues down vertically below the ribbon for a
bit, then bends outwards in the brim. The ribbon LOOKS like it's
been moved up, but actually the brim is bent differently. this way
you don't see any stitching and the natural crease is not visible
because the ribbon covers it.

If you take a look at MK's (I think it's MK, please forgive me if I'm
wrong) fedora page, it looks like the same treatment was given
to Indy's hat in several pics: top left, top right, and definitely the
picture in the left column, 4th down from top. Thanks again to the
maker of this page as it has aided me very much in trying to
shape the perfect Raiders hat.

Input is appreciated!!

Cheers,

-I.S.
