As a mere Shodan in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido I have had some exposure to Steven Seagal through the martial arts and my children also
attend a small private school where his children did for a time. Segal is a very talented martial artist. But he is also arrogant, paranoid and thinks the world is centered around him. Aikido is supposed to be a non violent self defense art form, but Seagal's style is a more akin to Jujitsu. I dont think Ueshiba Sensei would be proud of the way Aikido has been portrayed by Seagal.
