'Temple of Doom' jacket; MK and Patterson

Been debating posting this for some time, since all the focus is on the perfect 'Raiders' jacket. What the Hell; I'm bored. If you look really close you'll see something very odd. The bottom edge of the rear panel is slightly gathered as if it has elastic sewn into it. The two best scenes to view this are the raft scene, the profile shot as they're bounding down the hill and in the village as Indy approaches the empty shrine. In this scene it does not appear 'gathered' as in the raft. Rather, it seems like a sort of top-stitched design that really only shaows where the edges of it are distressed. Oddly enough, the 1984 'ToD' action figure conforms to this as well. I had always thought they had used part of a mold from another figure. It wasn't until last year when I got the remastered film that I noticed this. Any comments.
