The first time I pulled my Aldens out of the box the small stitching got my attention. They are great shoes. Notice I said shoes not boots. I have a pair of Danner work boots, handmade in Oregon. Next to the Danners the Aldens look like street shoes. I know people say they are very serviceable under harsh conditions , but I think I would rather not have to put them to the test. Don't get me wrong, I think they are very comfortable and don't regret the purchase. I just wonder how long a pair really would have lasted Indy. Flash.
