Alden Tongues

If the tongue moves for you, the fix is fairly simple. Go to your local shoe repair shop and ask them to 'tack' the tongue on the left and right sides. (

They should know what this means - it basically involves them sewing some stitches between the upper and the tongue)

This will anchor the tongue in its center position. It works very well for any shoe type with this problem. An especially adept shoe-repair shop can tack through the stiching in the upper yield no additional externally visible result.

BTW, the Alden boot is thought of as a work boot, not anything else.m So if you're looking for an outdoor boot, it's not the right call. However, for anyone with foot problems, Alden is a *great* choice. They can do your feet right. But they're not made to compete with Chippewa or whomever (was it Danner) -- different missions...
