From what I know of his "mythical-ness" he's the guy who originally started collecting Indy gear. He's the one who found Indy gear companies like Wested (owns the first Wested jacket, which was known to have not looked like the jacket at all and later corrected and which the current Wested is based on). He told me long ago that he started collecting the gear after creating an advertisement for his company using Indy gear in it. (Sorry if I got any of the details wrong Lee). He's a great guy and has been around since the start of all of our, boarder line obsessive, hobby.
