: : Hi,

: : I was wondering when you say I should iron out the ripples, you
: : mean with a regular household clothing steam iron?

: : Thanks,

: Yep, just an ordinary steam iron. Put a piece of cloth on the brim, and be sure you have the iron on the lowest setting for steam. Apply the pressure and heat quickly, and just enough to get the ripples out. I have used this method on several hats with excellent results. It is amazing how some felt will develop these ripples. One thing about the Akubra Campdraft is that no matter how many times it gets wet, or exposed to heat, this hat won't get ripples. I don't know about my PB, as I baby it. Regards, Fedora
