Raiders = Unknown

Something bothers me.
When I ask someone how many Indiana Jones movies there are, most of them say 2 movies. Almost nobody knows Raiders of the Lost Ark. They don't know the title and when they heard of that film they don't know that it's with Indy.
But everybody knows Indiana Jones and they all love him but are mostly ashamed to say that. Don't know why?
