yes, back when.....i used to be an amateur whip artist (used a 10
ft david morgan exclusively for everything, trained with some of the
best in the biz.....used to do a little class thru the mail).
i carried a bullwhip with me on my little adventures overseas,
so i trained with a mock-up of a padded "arm" holding a weapon,
attached to a sawhorse. built it to simulate a human arm, made of
pvc pipe and padding. goal was to design a crack/ stunt that could
potentially break bones in the hand, disarm/ disable attacker.
i mangaged to devise two, that involved drawing the whip from my
belt carrier, and using a powerful crack that would catch on the attacker's wrist.
on the offensive, there would be a few potential very painful cracks that would disable an attacker, very probably.....basic ones, that would slash across the chest/ shoulder, i imagine.
