Different H.J.'s

Max,

I talked to Mr. Swales while I was in London about the hat. I ended up getting the McAlpine cut to the same pattern as the poet because I felt the color was closer and the felt a better quality.

The McAlpine looks closer to the Temple of Doom version (slightly shorter crown and thicker felt), but what of the Young Indy hat? I heard H.J. made them, but it is a very different shape than the film version. Young Indy's is poorly shaped, but clearly has a shorter crown. Did you get any info from Mr. Guitard?
