What happened in Gold of Genghis Kahn FYF?

Hey there. Back again after many years away. Just a question to anyone who owns the find your fate series. I've just managed to get hold of an original copy of Legion of Death from Amazon, after waiting more than 13/14 years! My original copy was stolen from me in the classroom by some little swine with quick fingers.

Anyway, the only book I don't have now is the Gold of Genghis Kahn. Was it any good? How did it compare to the earlier, and better novels, coz to be honest, I thought Ape Slaves was pretty disappointing.
Anyway, If any of you could give me a quick synopsis and a review I 'd be most grateful!
