Ummm. "hatmaker to the stars" is the same thing Gary White has on his web page, and he is in NYC. (nm)

: Yesterday I visited the set of Tom Hanks new movie "The Road to Perdition". It is a gangster movie set in Chicago that also stars Paul Newman. Some of the fedoras looked pretty cool. I had a chat with the wardrobe crew. The new fedoras were not that great, but the ones I thought were good were rented from Western Costume. I asked about the old ribbons that looked so good and they said they couldn't find find the old stuff and they were having and were having to dye ribbon to match. They showed me Hanks fedora. It was a dark gray with a wide bound brim but with a short crown. I didn't care for it much. It was custom made by Dave Brown "The Hat Hatter" in NY. The box said "hat maker to the stars" or something like that. Anyway it looks to be a very cool movie loaded with fedoras and trench coats.
