You can't watch a TV show or news report about anything archaeological without the commentator bringing up Indiana Jones. It has changed the public's understanding of Archaeology and made it downright popular. We even have a "History Channel". Of course, an archaeologist is much more likely to be wearing a Tilley than a fedora!
