: No, I believe he's right, it is a knife. If you'll recall when Indy and Shorty entered the room that had the spikes that dropped from the ceiling, Shorty was indeed holding a knife at the ready. I believe that's the knife and cover you see drop from the pile of belongings. Regards. Michaelson

Could that be the same knife we see in "Raiders" when Indy was about to untie Marion but realized that if he did they would comb the place for them?

One other thing: I have had the ToD storybook since I was 5. I noticed that there are a few pictures of the mines and inside the Temple that didn't seem to make it to the final film. Could anyone shed some light on this?
