I just got back to my computer and, after reading the posts below, just wanted to chime in.
First, as Michaelson said, he and I both belive that the jacket I have is one of the new finish cowhide jackets, LIGHTLY distressed!
The physical weight is lighter than any other cowhide jacket I have ever run across (including the other Westeds I have handled)
but it is definately cowhide. And very nicely distressed, if I do say so!
