It's heavier, definately more substantial. I'd hazard to guess
twice the weight of the lambskin. It feels thicker, which is good
and bad, depending what you're looking for (I wanted a sturdier
jacket, but the lambskin reflects more of what we see on screen,
I think). Because of that, I think I'd prefer the handwarming
insides lined with cloth, or lambskin instead of the goatskin, to
make the pockets less bulky. But I know this isn't keeping in
terms of authenticity.

Oh, a word on the "ease" as discussed before, I put on a fleece
sweater, and although it was a bit bulkier than I had hoped
underneath, especially around the collarbone. Might be ok after
the jacket breaks in, and definately more room than the Wested.
