: If you have a moment, I need a brief lesson in terminology. What are gussets? And what are you referring to when you say "leather facings" on the collar? Are these available only by special request, or are they standard?

gussets are an extra piece of leather in the armpit area. The point is so thatwhen you move your arms, the sleeves don't go riding up. leather facings on the collar refers to the collar stand. Look at almost any jacket. The area on the inside of the collar that is gainst your neck (just above where the label and sometimes where a coat hanger strip is located) is the collar stand. In raiders, and in most higher quality leather jackets, this is leather. In the original Wested, it was made of the same material as the lining, but could be made leather upon request, just like having leather facings on the front zipper for durability. I had heard that Peter was making this standard rather than a special request item now, but if you're going to order and really want that stuff, then by all means, make it a point to bring it up when you order. (as a side note, leather facings on the front zipper is NOT authentic to Raiders.)

Regards,
BK
