The veg used on the jackets is thinner than the sample I received as well. They had on order of veg goat that ran thicker than they normally like to use, which was used up on A2's, I believe. I picked out the veg goat skins for my wife's jacket last week, and they were about the same weight as the chrome. My veg goat is breaking in just fine after two weeks. I don't think the goat will ever be quite as relaxed as lamb gets, but honestly? Mt wife's lamb is a little too relaxed for my taste - "lifeless" is the word that comes to mind. Just my opinion, though.
