I don't know if anyone has covered this in forums past, but I just ran accross this site which may be of use to those Indyfans wanting to "age" or "soil" their new Indy gear. See the attached link. www.dirtworx.com The four substances listed on the front page for a product called the "dirt bag" are those used to make items like Indy's fedora, outfit and gear appear weathered, used and dusty. Different shades are achieved by using the different substances: Fullers Earth, Rotten Stone, Raw Umber and Burnt Umber. I think rotten stone is white or grey. I believe the others are shades of brown. The substances are in fine powder form and are usually placed in a bag or sock and patted, rubbed or beat onto the wardrobe items. However, use caution- while these treatments look good on the set, they may not contribute to the longevity of the item. Finally, a way to make my Indy fedora look like the completely abused one in Raiders!
