It certainly looks brown in this pic, but it looks black on TV. Of course, the A-2 that Bob Crane wore on Hogan's Heroes also looked black on TV, but A-2s were really brown. So maybe it really is dark brown.

: I was going through the Smithonian's archive to check out the Indy Jacket they have up there and ran accross yet another legendary jacket that is strung up in with Indy's jacket and fedora, well not with but close by...Fonzie's jacket! Then, after an arguement with a friend over the actual color of the jacket (he said it was black I said it was dark dark brown), I decided to post the jacket up for you guys to see. If all of you have become addicted to jackets as much as I have lately I think you'll appreciate gawking at this jacket which has become part of Americana.
