Glad to hear you havent been put off making them.
The whole thing has been taken too far, it seems to have settled now but clearly not satisfactorily for everyone.
The proof is in the wearing, and my wested is the best jacket ive worn.
And the flightsuits....well..this isnt the time or the place for what i think of that....

I applaud the time and effort people put into their hobby of chasing down an authentic jacket, but theres a fine line between doing your own work
and insulting the work of others.
If it had really resulted in the 'fans jacket' or in making all concerned happy, it would have been great.
But it didnt.

It clearly made the Wested folks feel accused, the fans angry, and Flightsuits cant even decide what degree of
inacuracy they can get away with in the advertisng.
