One thing that might add to its appearance of insane tallness is something schwammy pointed out to me. When he saw my PB he asked if the ribbon was the correct width. I told him I hadn't measured it but I could only assume it was right, seeing as PB claims it's 1 1/2" wide. But when I measured the ribbon I found it to be a whole 1/8" thinner than the 1 1/2" authentic width.

I don't know if having a ribbon that's 1 3/8" wide makes any difference, but I can only assume it WOULD make the crown appear SLIGHTLY taller.

P.S. Take some pictures of you wearing the hat, you'll be really pleased by how well this hat photographs. It actually looks like an Indy hat.
