Saludos amigos y amigas,
Working late in the Archaeo-cave, and thought I'd shoot this out there. Fun site with looter-busting news and ARPA-related stuff (no, that's not the Arkansas Rifle and Pistol Association; it's the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, federal law, buster!)
http://www.cr.nps.gov/aad/sitewat.htm

And FYI, here's what was on the card Indy carried in his wallet (when adventuring in the Northwest, anyway...)
"Washington State law provides for the protection of archaeological resources. Washington State RCW Chapter 27.53, Archaeological Sites and Resources, prohibits unauthorized removal, theft, and/or destruction of archaeological resources and sites. This statute also provides for prosecution, consultation, and the recovery of archaeological resources. Washington State RCW Chapter 27.44, Indian Graves and Records, states that that willful removal, mutilation, defacing, and/or destruction of Indian burials constitutes a Class C felony. In the unlikely event that ground disturbing or other construction activities result in the inadvertent discovery of archaeological resources, work should be halted in the immediate area, and contact made with the office of the State Archaeologist. Work should be halted until such time as further investigation and appropriate consultation is concluded. In the unlikely event of the inadvertent discovery of human remains, work should be immediately halted in the area, the discovery covered and secured against further disturbance, and contact effected with law enforcement personnel, the office of the State Archaeologist, and authorized representatives of concerned Indian Tribes."
Forgive the digression; check out the link below and have fun.
