When Indy was riding that German sub periscope, what could have been
the worst that might have happened to him?

Admiral Sir Frederick Inglefield of the Royal Navy, suggested that
seagulls could be trained to find and crap all over raised periscopes.
For some time the fearless admiral and his staff attempted to train
several seagulls for this task. They used dummy periscopes floating in
the harbor, but as it turned out, the seagulls refused to cooperate.
Soon after, the good admiral was given a position of much less
responsibility. ;)
