I have read most of the novels. I neede a fix and I needed it right then, see. I liked the Max McCoy series, and some of Rob MacGregor's as well, but some of the novels get "stupid" At one point he gets married to a sexy mysterious archeologist, I won't tell you what happens. He has this red head friend that plays the coronet in a jazz club which I didn't really care for, but all in all, they give you what you need. The latter events are in the MacGregor books. I felt the McCoy books offered a more "pure" fix.
