: Try your local western apparel store. If they sell hats, they will probably also sell a felt stiffener, such as Scout. If not, they could perhaps order you some. The Scotchguard and like products are used to make the felt stain and water resistant, and don't really add measurable stiffness. Good product though, as they extend the life and appearance of the hat. Regards, Fedora
