Kepler pistol belt: how much overhang should there be?

I just received a size 36 Lee Kepler Raiders pistol belt. I am a 32 waist and it fits when properly angled at the first hole, so there is not much overhang. Is this a correct match to the belt in Raiders or should there be some extra belt past the buckle? If so, how much? Thanks.
