:     I have  found that the key to stopping the "leaky zippo " problem, was simply not completely saturating the felt. If it is welling out before you put the casing back on, it will end up on your leg, and that is painful. But I grew up around these lighters, and it took awhile for me to catch on too. :)   Regards, Fedora
