I do know ships. propellers are not designed to be out of the water. That would be very ineffective. You want it to push water. If the blades are in the air, there's no water to push. If a ship was sitting in shallow water to see a propeller, the bottom of the propeller would be buried in sand and chances are the keel is broke from the weight of the ship sitting on an uneven ground.

: Who knows what they do before that scrap a ship. They've gotta ground it somehow, right?

When ships are scraped they do sit higher out of the water. That's because they have been gutted, therefore it would not have engines to turn the propellers.

Any way you look at it, it's a bogus.
