A bit shinier than Joe's ribbon..

: : I have to assume the black is too, with the rayon mix. I tell ya, I'm sold on the RIT dye. You can get the ribbon the color you want, and it reduces the sheen to almost flat. The ribbon on my Fed is the darkest I've done and really contrasts well with the felt. Black is a good conrast too.

In fact, when I first got my PB, I like the ribbon so well, I called Joe and asked if I could buy some, but he wouldn't sell me any, so I decided to work on the scalloped edge Petersham which is what's on the hats in TOD and LC. I don't think the ribbon on the original Raiders hat is Petersham or Grosgain. I've yet to see a closeup shot that shows any ribbing.
