The opening sequence is great up until they jump out of the plane in the raft

The movie had great potential until the raft scene -- what bothered me was the really unrealistic things like the raft falling from the plane, the mine cart jumping the gap, etc. Supernatural factors are unrealistic too, I suppose, but then you are entering a completely new realm of physics -- the raft and mine car violated the realism that made Indy a great hero -- he was gritty and tough, but not superhuman, getting out of scrapes by perservering rather than overcoming them with super power -- the raft and mine car reminded me of other typical action hero scenes --

Something about the children/mine stuff I didn't like much -- tugging too blatantly on the heartstrings perhaps -

I thought Willie Scott was hot, though -- annoying, but looked good in a wet tuxedo shirt --
