Ranks and Names

Is Dietrich a colonel? That's what Belloq called him, but he seems to have a much higher rank than that, especially if he's Hitler's personal representative.

In Crusade, Vogel was a colonel. At least, that's what Donovan called him. Elsa called him "Herr Oberst". I think he was a S.S. colonel, though.

Oh, and if you're looking for a transcript to the Raiders storybook (based on the weaker original script to Raiders), I can get one to you. It's kind of fun, since the characters speak in those verbose, storybook, type discussion.

It also provides names for many characters--Barranca, Toht, Dietrich, Imam. Interesting that minor characters like Jock, Satipo, and Gobler have names, but major ones like Toht and Dietrich don't. Same in Crusade--Do we ever hear Vogel's name spoken?
