Maybe you should have posted a petition to post the gear minutiae on the Indy Gear forum. What else for does that place exist if not gear talk?
I'm sure nobody minds the more general gear posts here on Indyfan or the announcement of an important new find. But the 1/16 of an inch shop-talk might be more popular at the gear forum
