: According to the Star Wars timeline the time span between Empire and Jedi is supposed to be one full year(which really isn't much different than 6 months) but I think that Yoda knew he was dying and summoned Luke to train while he still had the chance (probably didn't want Obiwan to do it after seeing the results of training Anakin), but what gets me is when he tells Obiwan- "there is another", like he was planning on training Leia as well.

: : Those are some good questions :) I just watched the Star Wars Trilogy and found lots of weird errors :) The one thing I wondered the most was:
: : When Luke first meets Yoda he's healthy and in a good condition. Then he leaves and about 6 months pass or so... then he pays him another visit and then Yoda is a LOT older and he says he's 500 years old. That means that the first time Luke met him he was about 499.5 years old and he was doing ok and didn't look that old either. How did he get that old so damn fast! ?

Just a quick note:

Yoda was 900 years old when he died (not 500). He also said that he trained jedi for 800 years, which would make him 100 years old when he started (not bad)!

Just another thing - 900 sounds very old, but how long is a Star Wars year?
