IMHO CGI movies all start at the same basic place as conventional film; script and storyboard. I regard CGI entertainment the same way I regard classical animation. A great deal of nuance and life is breathed into the characters through the voice actors. Think some Disney performances that stick in your mind perhaps. Obviously sometimes it doesn't come off as "real." I'm thinking of "Quest for Camelot," or any Charlie Brown cartoon.

You've seen Toy Story right? I totally forgot that I was watching CGI after a while, due to the great performances. What about you?

Having said that, give me an actor anyday over a hard drive...
